How to Whitelabel RB2B with Clay

0:00

In this video, I'm going to show you how to white label our B2B services by

0:03

sending a

0:04

custom Slack message with all of your website visitors to you, your company, or

0:08

one of your

0:08

clients Slack channels with all of your custom logo and branding.

0:12

So with that further ado, let's get into it.

0:14

The first thing we're going to do is we're going to go to retention and we're

0:16

going to

0:16

go to the integration section and we're going to find clay.

0:20

Once you click on it, this Webhook URL prompt pops up asking for a Webhook URL.

0:25

To do that, we go to clay, we're going to go back to our home, create new,

0:31

table, and

0:32

import data from Webhook.

0:34

From there, we click new blank table and it's going to give us a Webhook URL,

0:37

which we can

0:37

then copy and paste back into retention.

0:41

So once you save it and those website visitors start streaming in, you'll see

0:44

something that

0:44

looks a little bit like this.

0:46

Our goal here is to send this information to Zapier, which is then go to send

0:49

the information

0:50

to Slack using our custom branding.

0:52

So what we want to do first is create an HTTP API integration in clay.

0:58

All you have to do is click add enrichment, HTTP API, and boom, it has all this

1:03

extra

1:04

stuff that you have to add information to.

1:06

Luckily, I have already put that information in.

1:09

So first, we have the method.

1:11

We're going to be using posts because we're sending data from clay to Zapier,

1:14

which requires

1:15

the post method.

1:16

Next, it's going to be asking for an endpoint.

1:18

In order to get that, just go to your Zapier automation, make the first step,

1:23

catch hook

1:23

in Webhooks by Zapier.

1:25

Then once you go to the test section, it'll actually give you that Webhook URL,

1:28

which

1:29

you can then just copy.

1:30

You can go back to the endpoint section and paste that Webhook URL right here.

1:35

Voila, you have found your endpoint and pasted it in the correct spot.

1:40

From there, we have to define what information we're sending as well as the

1:43

variables associated

1:44

with that information.

1:45

So in this body section, you can format it the way clay asks you to in this

1:48

bottom area

1:49

and just put the variable and the column associated with it for each one of the

1:53

variables that

1:54

you want to send.

1:55

So I've done full name, personal LinkedIn, company LinkedIn and email in this

1:59

case.

1:59

Once you save all of that and you click the go button, you'll see that when the

2:03

200 thing

2:04

pops up, like it has for these five, it will actually have tested it and sent

2:08

you a request

2:09

with that person's information just as we formatted it.

2:13

From there, you can go ahead and check out your Slack channel and it'll look a

2:17

little

2:17

something like this.

2:18

So we have this kill website visitor bot that is now sent out all this

2:22

information by just

2:24

getting this channel message and Slack step in the Zapier, making sure you

2:28

connected to

2:29

your account, adding action and then putting the message text right here.

2:33

So I just have a new website visitor, name, name, email, email, company

2:36

LinkedIn, company

2:37

LinkedIn, personal LinkedIn, personal LinkedIn.

2:39

And then I named the bot the kill website visitor bot.

2:43

So now it doesn't have any RV to be branding.

2:45

It seems completely white labeled and we are good to go.

2:47

So if you have any questions about this, feel free to reach out and enjoy.
